Making progress!

So here's the latest wedding news: we've ordered bridesmaid dresses, the mother of the bride has ordered her dress, we've chosen a hotel for folks to stay at, and we've begun registering!

We went to Neiman Marcus to register for dinnerware... do not fear, we're not ONLY registering there. They just happened to have the dishes that we like. As it turns out, we're both pretty picky about dishes... who knew? If you want to see them, you can go to www.juliska.com. I think we'll probably register for some serving pieces too, because Justin said, "Shouldn't we register for some serving pieces?" And I said, "Oh. Yeah. Guess we should do that."

It's odd to be picking out real grownup dishes and flatware and whatnot, especially since I got REALLY used to using plastic spoons and cereal bowls for all my eating needs while in college. (Can I get a witness?)

Oh, btw, more info on the hotel accomodations later. It's the Staybridge Suites near the Galleria in case you're wondering. Must work.

Wow, isn't it weird to be doing these grown-up things? It sure is fun to scan things with that laser gun though, right? :o)

So do we get to see the bridesmaids' dresses ahead of time, too? I'm dying to know your colors and such. Send gory details when you have time! Love ya!

Our fine china dishes are still in the boxes from Dillard's. We have chipped at least 3 pieces of our everyday dishes. So I say register for fun stuff and use paper plates and plastic forks and spoons! Who are we entertaining with our fine china? The pantry, that's who! :)

How fun is registering!!?? Its like those game shows where you have 3 minutes to run through and grab anything you want...except you get things you want and then you get 50 silver frames like we got with no gift receipt...grrr...come on people...give a gift receipt!

On the dishes...I love ours but sometimes I find myself wishing I still had the cherrios bowl with the straw on the side to slurp up the sugar milk at the end...yum!

The funny thing is...we wash our plastic spoons so we don't have to buy more. :) We don't understand the concept of disposable utensils.

My china used to be in the China cabinet until two years ago when I packed it up to put Holiday dishes in for Christmas. Then I got too lazy to change the dishes so we celebrate Christmas year-round in the dining room. No one ever goes in there anyway! Have fun with the rest of your registering.
